Start embracing the Navigation Toolbar moving from the bottom to the left folder pane in Outlook Windows. It will become the default once rolled out and there’s no returning it back.
Since March 2022, users can opt-in to begin adjusting to the modification. I was s-h-o-c-k-e-d by the user’s “nasty grams” to Microsoft on TechCommunity.
What are users saying? Here is the polite version.
- “It removes 5% of screen space on my laptop.”
- “Give me the option for placement.”
- “I don’t use other apps while in Outlook”.
Microsoft’s Outlook Global Customer Service & Support team confirmed the navigation toolbar will become the default soon. The navigation in the left pane is consistent with the other Office applications to assist with switching between apps.
For a little while longer, you can disable the Navigation Toolbar setting in Outlook Windows. In the top right corner, change Try It Now from On to Off, then restart Outlook. But, my friends, embrace the change. It’s coming and it is here to stay.
Are you Ready? Yay or nay.
