You can view multiple calendars at once, either in a clustered view known as Overlay or side-by-side (Split View). These views are beneficial when managing your calendar, other people, or groups. This article will show you how to toggle between the two display modes, or you can check out the video.
Outlook Calendar: Overlay View
Overlay mode stacks each calendar event into one column for each individual or group chosen. Notice how each person or group is represented by its own color.
This view sometimes has its disadvantages. Colorizing is used to identify who’s who, and, if many events are stacked, the view can be very busy. The example shows, three calendars in Today’s view.
Outlook Calendar: Split View
However, you can change the calendar view to the Split View Mode, which separates each person or group’s calendar events into columns side-by-side. The split view is available when you show the calendar by the Day, Work, or Work Week, but it is not available while displaying the monthly view.
This view shows the calendar name at the top of the column, and the color also illustrates it.
Steps to Toggle between Overlay and Split Views
Navigate to your Outlook Calendar and select calendars from My Calendars, People, or Groups
From the top menu bar, selectHome | Split Viewor selectView | Split View
