To increase productivity, you can add relevant files as attachments to your tasks in Microsoft To-Do. All file types are supported and in read-only mode. However, there is a size limit of 25 MG for each uploaded file. Here is a tip for you.

Here is some key information when you add an attachment to a task.
A paper clip icon represents a task with attachments.
All attachments display the file name, size, and type.
All attachments are read-only.
Several users had asked, “Where are the task attachments stored?” Initially, they are not saved on OneDrive, Outlook Email files, nor searchable from Office.com. See the separate blog post for details. However, after uploading and accessing the file, you can choose to save the documents to your local drive or OneDrive. Instructions are provided below.
Add an attachment to a Task
Navigate to Microsoft To-Do application
Open the Task
Click on Add a file
Select your file that meets the size requirement
Repeat these steps for each file
Access the uploaded Task File
To access the file later, you can complete the steps below.
Navigate to the Microsoft To-Do application
Open the Task
Click on the file and the file will open in the proper application
Once the file is open, you can optionally choose one of the following.
Download saves the file to your local drive
Save to OneDrive saves the file to your personal OneDrive Documents > Attachments folder
