Microsoft users reported on June 14, 2022 that the Outlook Next and Previous icons which advanced between messages were missing.
On Microsoft’s TechCommunity site, many frustrated users complained about the inconvenience to advance to the next or previous email. Well, Microsoft listened to the users, and the missing icons returned to the top menu for easy access.
However, the icons display the up and down arrows with opened emails. But they are nowhere to be found when the Reading Pane is used.
