Most computers update the device drivers, like a graphic card driver, automatically. However, there are times when you have added new software or upgrades; you may want to update the driver manually.
I will show you how to update your driver using the Device Manager. You can watch the video or read the steps below.
Update Drivers using the Device Manager
From your keyboard, press the Windows logo + R keys and OK to open the Run command box
At Open type devmgmt.msc and press OK to open the Device Manager
While in the Device Manager, navigate to Display Adapters and click on the drop-down menu and select the graphic card that you want to update
Note: Before going to the next step, I like to review the Driver Date details. The information tells me when the driver was last updated. If this date is more than 6 to 12 months old, then I click on the Update Driver button. I posted two images as examples below. However, if you don’t care about this data, skip this section.
Double-click on the graphic card to open the properties.
Click on the Drivers Tab and review the date.
Right-click on the graphic card and select Update Driver
Close the Device Manager and restart your computer
That was fairly easy. You now have the latest driver on your PC.
